Eating in Roma: Trattoria da Lucia

We spent an afternoon exploring the Trastevere neighborhood of Rome, which we instantly fell in love with. Upon the recommendation of our friend, we had a wonderful lunch at the quaint Trattoria da Lucia

It was a beautiful April day -- perfect weather for eating outside. We ordered a half carafe of vino (because, when in Rome...), with homemade pane and Parmigiano-Reggiano to start. That cheese was so rich-and-crumbly delicious.

For our il primo, we each ordered a pasta dish -- my eyes were bigger than my belly by ordering the cacio e pepe, but it was good nonetheless. Paul had a hearty dish with tomato sauce.

This place is nothing fancy, but well worth an al fresco lunch. We can't wait to return to this hidden little gem in the future...and maybe order more wisely so we can finish everything :)
